Tikchik Airventures provides air charter service in Southwest Alaska for kayakers, rafters, canoeists, hikers, fishing enthusiasts and guided hunters. Destinations include the remote wilderness of Wood-Tikchik State Park, Togiak National Wildlife Refuge and the Nushagak and Mulchatna Rivers. Rick and Denise Grant, owner/operators of Tikchik Airventures, take pride in their professional approach, excellent equipment and personal service.

With over 50 years combined experience in Southwest Alaska, they both have a true appreciation for the Alaska wilderness, reflected by their lifestyle. In the Summer and Fall, they reside in Dillingham, Alaska, and during the long Winter months and through Spring, they live in a lodge in an extremely remote part of the Wood-Tikchik State Park.

Rick has been flying in this region for over twenty three years and has thousands of hours of experience with an outstanding safety record. He was a pilot/guide for ten years for sport fish lodges, which has contributed to his knowledge of the fishery in Bristol Bay. Rick started his hunting/guiding career in 1980 and is a registered hunting guide.

Rick is a highly skilled bush-pilot, flying a De Havilland Beaver, Cessna 185 and Piper Super Cub, and landing with floats, skis and wheels, on lakes and rivers, gravel bars, beaches, tundra and snow.
